Final Project - Walking Cycle and Jump

Our final project was to draw our personal bean shaped created character and animate it to go through a walk cycle and then finally a jump. Here I present my work of my character Mr. Bitterbean.

Homeworks: New Pose

A different take on a pose for my Bean Character. Using two sharpies to show thin and thick lines.

EDIT: Just talked about it with Mr. Arthur. Proportions are a bit off such as arms and hands. Legs and eyes too. Hopefully learning from these mistakes and will do better for the upcoming project.

       Another attempt on a Flintstones version of myself. First attempt looked too similar to Fred. This time I drew a more slimmer body and longer hair that I have.

Ten Bean Characters

Our homework was to create 10 characters off the simple bean shape.

 Here are my ten characters. For the next night's homework, we are to pick one of our characters to further develop onto our next project. So far I picked this one of a baseball playing bean character. Possible names for him in development... maybe Bitterbean or Bat-Man.

 Hopefully he'll work out for our upcoming projects. Next HW Drawing, a Jumping comic!

Don't have a scanner at home so took awhile to get these up... Sorry for the late post. Been absent and busy with some off school things.

Here for homework, I believed we were suppose to draw ourselves as half man half plant monster and another homework was to draw ourselves scared beyond imagination. You can probably notice the pose and face looks similiar to oil painting "The Scream" by Edvard Munch.

 Here I took a re-attempt at drawing a see-through Ghost. My first drawing was too cartoonie and wasn't me so this time I drew one of me.

Flinstones Bedrock Version of Me

Homework was to draw myself as a Flinstones character. I think I may have drawn myself a bit too large.

Falling Paper

Our recent project. Draw a falling leaf or paper and animate with Flash. Not as easy as it sounded : P.

Here is our 2nd assignment using flash by making a pendulum like motion with out ball.

Toy Characters

Homework was to take two random toys from a box and get inspiration from them to create our own characters. One to be a main character and one to be a sidekick.

 From the two toys, I came up with a biker looking fella and a classy fella. I can't really think of any names but possibly Kwick for the biker and Mr. Diddles for the fella keeping things classy.

Comic Panal Strip

Here we dive into our first attempt at drawing a simple comic.

My comic is short and simple. Two characters are racing each other. The loser has caught up with a sudden burst of effort. Excited, he turns around to see how much ahead he is. Then Suddenly no longer looking foward.... BOOM. poor fella ran into a tree.

 During our first ACME session, we were asked to draw 10 cartoon heads of our felow classmates. Here is my attempt at a cartoonie cast of classmates.

       And After that our 2nd session we tried to attempt to draw the PERFECT Circle and Oval with no erasing. It surely was difficult. I don't think I was able to reach that goal.

After the ACME meeting with Frank Gladstone, we found out his favorite Cartoon Character is Popeye. So in return we drew him as Popeye!
